Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) fell 0.37% or 37.7 points to 10,116.06 points in Tuesday’s early trades.
All sectors declined by 10:00am Qatar time, with the exception of the insurance which was stable.
The transportation sector led losers with a 0.7% decline as Milaha, Nakilat, and Gulf Warehousing Company lost 1.13%, 0.5%, and 0.39%, respectively.
The real estate sector shed 0.59% after Ezdan Holding Group decreased 0.78%, followed by Barwa Real Estate which tumbled 0.43% and United Development Co. which went down 0.1%.
The banks sector edged down 0.49% after Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ), Al Khalij Commercial Bank, and Qatar Oman Investment Co. lost 2.02%, 1.72%, and 1.55%, respectively.
Qatar National Cement Company was the worst performer with a 3.69% decrease, whereas Aamal led risers with a 1.45% increase.
Liquidity reached QAR 19.58 million after 631,600 shares were traded through 429 transactions.
Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding led stocks in terms of trading volume with 107,860 shares traded, while Masraf Al Rayan was the value leader with a liquidity of QAR 3.97 million.
