QSE slides 117.61 pts at Tuesday’s close

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed 1.16% or 117.61 points lower, reaching 9,992.84 points on Tuesday.

Most of the sectors fell with the exception of the services sector, which rose 0.35% after Medicare Group led risers with 2.25%.

The real estate sector topped losers with 1.9% as Ezdan Holding Group shed 2.44%.

The industrials sector decreased 1.17% after Qatar National Cement Company lost 2.4%.

The banks sector dropped 1.16% as Qatar National Bank (QNB) declined 2.46%.

Traded volume increased to 11.32 million shares on Tuesday against 8.41 million shares in the previous session, as liquidity rose to QAR 329.36 million against QAR 208.67 million.

Ezdan’s stock led in terms of trading value and volume after 2.47 million shares were exchanged at a value of QAR 39.48 million.

Earlier on Tuesday, the main index inched down 0.05% to 10,105.48 points.
