QSE opens Wednesday on negative note

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Wednesday in the red zone as the main index lost 24.58 points, or 0.24%, to the mark of 10,177.32 points on the industrial and insurance sector.  

This decline was led by the industrial sector that fell by 1.12% on Industrial Qatar (-2.03%) and Qatar Industrial Manufacturing (-1.5%).  

The insurance sector decreased 0.28% after Doha Insurance saw a 7.8% slide.

The transportation sector inched down 0.02% on a 0.04% decrease of Qatar Gas Transport Limited.

Trading volume reached 823,520 shares traded in 632 transactions at QAR 36.44 million.
