QSE gains 76.5 pts at close

Doha – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday’s trading rising 0.72% or 76.54 points to the level of 10,680.5 points.

The index was backed by the rise in QNB and Ezdan by 0.59% and 0.36% respectively.

Trading volume decreased to 5.99 million shares from 6.67 million shares exchanged on Sunday, while turnover increased to QAR 212.91 million from QAR 195.8 million.

The banking sector was the best performer after adding 1.13% as QIB topped risers with a growth of 3.02%. The stock also made the highest liquidity of QAR 34.82 million.

The insurance sector also leapt by 0.44%, however, Qatar General Insurance led the red list with a fall of 3.16%.

The real estate sector levelled up 0.41%, the industrial sector advanced 0.39% and the telecom sector rose 0.22%.

Vodafone Qatar was the largest-traded stock with a trading volume 932,600 shares.

Meanwhile, the transportation sector declined alone by 0.2%.
