QSE gains 61 pts at close

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) grew at Wednesday’s close by 0.57% or 61.02 points to the level of 10,731.53 points.

Trading volume increased to 9.35 million shares from 7.78 million shares exchanged on Tuesday, turnover also rose to QAR 384 million from QAR 237.4 million.

The index was backed by the rise in some blue chips such as Industries Qatar (+2.08%), Masraf Al Rayan (+0.98%) and QNB (+0.61%).

Five sectors closed in green topped by the banking sector after adding 0.49%, backed by an increase of 2.18% in Dlala Holding

Meanwhile, the transportation and insurance sectors declined 0.51% and 0.43% respectively.

Vodafone Qatar made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.6 million shares, while Medicare Group made the highest turnover of QAR 73.94 million

Medicare Group, up 6.52%, was the top gainer, while Alijarah topped losers after falling 2.21%.
