Doha – Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday with a growth of 1.42% or 141.26 points to the level of 10,105.52 points.
Trading volume rose to 3.39 million shares from 1.9 million shares exchanged during the last session before the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, turnover also increased to QAR 162.83 million from QAR 100.29 million.
The insurance sector was the best performer after adding 2.49%, as Qatar Insurance led the green list with an increase of 3.31%.
The banking sector also closed in green, backed by the rise in QNB by 2.89%. The transportation and real estate sectors grew by 0.9%.
The consumer goods and services sector was the only decliner with a fall of 0.03% as Widam shrank by 2.63%.
QNB made the highest liquidity of QAR 43.32 million, whereas Qatar First Bank was the most traded stock with a volume of 332,210 shares.
