QSE falls on Thursday for 4th session in row

Mubasher: The main index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Thursday in red for the fourth consecutive session. The index retreated 1.65% or 147.64 points to finish at 8,805.76 points.

The QSE’s turnover decreased to QAR 203.55 million on Thursday from QAR 209.70 million in the previous session after the trading volume shrank to 6.11 million shares from 9.5 million.

The real estate sector led the decliners with 4.32%, dragged by Ezdan which lost 6.22% to be the top loser.

The banking sector retreated 1.58%, pressured by Qatar National Bank (QNB) which lost 1.90%.

Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock on which about 792,500 shares were exchanged. The stock retreated by 2.13%.

QNB posted the highest trading value of QAR 34.9 million.
