Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) ended Wednesday’s trading session in the green, encouraged by the growth of four sectors.
The general index rose 0.19%, or 17.3 points, to finish at 9,327.77 points.
The bourse’s liquidity declined 20.3% to QAR 449.63 million on Wednesday from QAR 564.36 million on Tuesday, while the trading volume decreased 14.7% to 14.23 million shares against 16.7 million in the previous session.
The telecommunication sector topped the QSE’s four risers adding 2.4%, while the real estate sector headed the bourse’s three losers falling 3.7%.
By the end of the session, the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 93 million, while Qatar Navigation’s stock, which levelled up 0.49%, spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 3.9 million shares.
