Mubasher: The Qatar stock exchange (QSE) closed Thursday's trading session in the red, dragged down by the fall of six sectors.
The general index inched down 60 points, or 0.66%, to finish at 8,891.16 points.
The bourse’s liquidity increased 31.4% to QAR 1.04 billion in the last session of the week from QAR 794.35 million on Wednesday, while the trading volume went down 24% to 6.39 million shares against 8.4 million in the previous session.
The real estate sector topped the QSE’s losers falling 2.8%.
On the flipside, the transportation sector was the bourse’s only gainer adding 0.1%.
The heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock, which inched down 0.01%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 1.57 million, generating QAR 243.25 million in a turnover.
