Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed Monday’s trading session 0.43%, or 43.57 points, lower to reach 10,153.76 points.
Sectors declined collectively, except the insurance sector which edged up 0.01%.
The telecoms sector led losers with a 1.94% decline as Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar shed 2.27% and 0.21%, respectively.
The transportation sector lost 1.58% after Nakilat and Milaha tumbled 2% and 1.67%, respectively.
The industrials sector went down 0.57%, dragged down by Aamal and Industries Qatar which sank 1.43% and 1.13%, respectively.
Doha Insurance Company led losers after falling 4.83%, whereas Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution led risers with a 10% increase.
Trading volume increased to 7.94 million shares on Monday, compared to 6.8 million shares on Sunday. Liquidity also rose to QAR 216.62 million from QAR 153.46 million in the previous session.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active stocks after trading 1.85 million shares, while Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding led stocks in terms of turnover after generating QAR 31.31 million.
