Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed in the green on Tuesday, adding 0.04% or 3.61 points reaching 10,157.37 points.
Four sectors rose, led by the telecoms sector with 1.13% after Ooredoo went up 1.16%, and Vodafone Qatar levelled up 0.95%.
The consumer goods and services sector increased 0.45% as Medicare Group, Widam Foods Co, and Al Meera Consumer Goods Co grew 2.04%, 1.41%, and 1.26%, respectively
Qatar for Cinema and Film Distribution was the worst performer with a 9.92% drop.
The transportation sector gained 0.14% after a Gulf Warehousing grew 3.48%, while the insurance sector inched up 0.2%.
On the flipside, the real estate and the industrials sectors slipped 0.24% and 0.08%, respectively.
Traded volume rose to 11.54 million shares on Tuesday against 7.94 million shares on Monday, while liquidity reached QAR 271.23 million against QAR 216.62 million in the previous session.
Vodafone Qatar’s stock led in terms of trading volume after 4.4 million shares were traded at a value of QAR 42.04 million.
Earlier on Tuesday, the benchmark index dropped 0.37% to 10,116.06 points.
