Presidential decree approves tax treaty with UAE

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s official gazette published on Thursday the presidential decree no 558 of 2020, approving the treaty between the governments of Egypt and the UAE for combating tax evasion and avoiding double taxation, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

Signed on 14 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi, the agreement was approved by the House of Representatives on 15 December 2020.

The treaty is aimed at preventing income tax evasion and double taxation with the aim of boosting investment, creating jobs, and enhancing bilateral trade between the two countries.
