Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 3.085 billion in customs duties, taxes, and charges at Port Said Customs during November.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said reached EGP 525.21 million during November, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Thursday.
Additionally, the value-added taxes (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 2.561 billion during the month, the statement showed.
The imported goods included wheat, legumes, maize, and production requirements.
Moreover, the port exported goods that included food industries, fruits, and raw materials at a total value of EGP 911.64 million. Charges collected for the exported goods reached EGP 3.26 million.
