Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 2.720 billion in customs duties, taxes, and charges at Port Said during July.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said registered EGP 429.518 million during the seventh month of 2021, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
In addition, the value-added taxes (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods stood at EGP 2.291 billion during the month, the statement showed. The imported goods included strategic goods and general cargo such as wheat, legumes, maize, cars, spare parts, and production inputs.
The port also exported goods worth EGP 1.043 billion and charged EGP 100,861 for these exports.
