Cairo – Mubasher: Petroleum Arrows Company’s transport rate of oil products rose last year by 12% to about 9.5 litres per day, representing 16% of the total transferred petroleum products in Egypt, the company’s President, Ayman Naguib, said on Saturday.
During the company’s general meeting, Naguib said that Petroleum Arrows supplied 35 fixed and mobile power stations around the country with the diesel needed to run them, especially during last summer.
Egypt suffers blackouts, especially in the summer, due to fuel shortages.
“Petroleum Arrows also took part in transporting diesel needed to run the equipment used in the new Suez Canal and national roads projects,” Naguib said.
In terms of the company’s (diesel delivery) service, Naguib said that total contracts reached 89 contracts with some universities, schools, companies, factories, farms and tourist facilities.
