Dubai – Mubasher: Passenger traffic at Dubai World Central (DWC) grew 29% year-on-year during the first quarter of 2017, according to a statement.
A total of 333,780 passengers passed through the facility in Q1-17, compared to 257,813 in the same period in Q1-16, according to Dubai Airports.
Air freight volumes at DWC increased 6.5% in Q1-17 to 211,144 tonnes being handled, compared to 198,295 during the same period last year.
Aircraft movements at DWC (passenger, cargo, general aviation, and helicopters) totalled 9,811 in Q1-17, down 8.9% over the 10,774 recorded in Q1-16.
