PETROJET, Baker Hughes ink MoU to boost cooperation

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El-Molla, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Petroleum Projects and Technical Consultations Company (PETROJET) and Baker Hughes Company to strengthen cooperation in designing and establishing petroleum projects.

Under the MoU, the two companies will cooperate in supplying chemical materials for several purposes such as improving the productivity of wells and the transmission lines of petroleum products, testing warehouses, extracting sulfur and carbon dioxide, and treating industrial wastewater, according to a statement by the Ministry of Petroleum on Wednesday.

The MoU was signed between Waleed Lofty, the Chairman and Managing Director of PETROJET, and Tameer Nasser, the Director and General Manager of Baker Hughes Egypt and Sudan.

It is noteworthy to mention that PETROJET and Baker Hughes have joint projects in Mozambique, Russia, Mexico, and the UAE.
