Cairo – Mubasher: Oriental Weavers Carpet achieved a consolidated net profit of EGP 343.19 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, higher 73% compared to EGP 197.95 million in Q1-20, according to a bourse disclosure on Sunday.
The net profits attributable to the parent company’s shareholders totalled EGP 299.72 million in Q1-21, while the earnings attributable to minority interests amounted to EGP 43.47 million during the same period.
The consolidated sales increased to EGP 2.76 billion at the end of March 2021 from EGP 2.26 billion in the same period a year ago.
As for the standalone financial results, the net profits nearly doubled to EGP 82.99 million in Q1-21 from EGP 44.1 million in Q1-20.
During 2020, Oriental Weavers Carpet posted a rise of 30% in the consolidated net profits to EGP 1.11 billion compared to EGP 855.07 million in 2019.
