Orascom Investment Holding swings to loss in Q1-21

Cairo - Mubasher: Orascom Investment Holding (OIH) turned to net losses of EGP 31.03 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, against net profits of EGP 51.64 million in Q1-20, including minority shareholders' rights. 

The operating revenues increased to EGP 206.56 million in the January-March period, compared to EGP 179.41 million in the corresponding period a year earlier, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Wednesday.

As for standalone business, the company suffered net losses of EGP 42.34 million in Q1-21, versus net profits of EGP 45.28 million in Q1-20.

In 2020, OIH incurred net losses of EGP 103.22 million, down from EGP 425.22 million in 2019, including minority shareholders’ rights.
