Cairo – Mubasher: The number of ADSL subscribers in Egypt increased by 18.2% to 6.9 million in June 2019 from 5.8 million in June 2018, data by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed.
Over the fiscal year 2018/2019, the number of mobile phone data users grew by 11.1% to 36.5 million, compared to 32.8 million in FY17/18, the CAPMAS said in a statement on Sunday.
In addition, the number of USB Modem internet users fell by 17% to 2.9 million in June 2019 from 3.5 million in the same month a year earlier.
Moreover, the number of mobile phone lines reached 94.0 million in June 2019, down by 1.8% from 95.7 million in June 2018.
