Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Housing announced that the iconic tower in the new administrative capital currently stands at 188 metres, the same height of Cairo Tower.
Construction is still underway as the tower, located in the central business district (CBD), is set to be the highest in Africa at a height of about 400 metres, deputy housing minister Khaled Abbas said in a statement on Tuesday.
The CBD project, which comprises 20 towers, is being executed in collaboration between the Ministry of Housing’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) with estimated investments of $3 billion.
