Dubai – Mubasher: Nakheel Properties has unveiled plans to invest AED 15 million to build two new marinas on Palm Jumeirah in order to increase boat mooring capacity, which will bring the island’s total number of berths to 600 million.
The UAE developer has appointed Majestic Marine Engineering for the construction of the new facilities, according to a company statement released on Sunday.
Slated for completion in 2018, the new marinas will accommodate 44 boats and yachts, Nakheel added.
The Dubai-based real estate company also revealed that it was planning to build other six marinas with a total investment of AED 165 million at Deira Islands.
