UAE - Mubasher: The intelligent electric vehicle (EV) company NWTN has partnered with Sultan Investments to establish an EV SKD assembly base in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD).
The twp-phase manufacturing base will enable the company to expand its global manufacturing network and offer its services in the Middle East, European, and North African markets, according to a recent press release.
Expected to be completed in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2022, the project's phase one will include 24,000 square metres of manufacturing, testing, inventory, and storage space, with an annual capacity of between 5,000 and 10,000 units.
In the second phase, expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, the plant's total area will expand to 100,000 square metres, and the capacity will increase to 50,000 units per year.
