Cairo – Mubasher: The board of directors of National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) decided to collect the whole fess of the license of the international telecommunications gateway in US dollar, as a part of the fees of the 4G license that will also be paid in dollar.
Earlier, Orange Egypt has addressed Egypt's telecom regulator to acquire the license of operating the fourth-generation mobile phone services.
Last September, Egypt's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) has received no formal requests from Egypt-based mobile operators to manage a fourth-generation (4G) mobile network in Egypt.
News reports claimed that Egypt’s mobile operators declined to apply for the 4G license as t do not particularly agree on the 50% dollar-collected fees.
