Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, closed Tuesday at 5,365.61 points after falling 0.70% or 38.06 points, went on a four-day losing run. Sharia Index also declined 0.33% to the level 853.46 points.
Trading volume reached around 14.61 million shares worth about OMR 5.26 million through executing 481 trades.
MSM sectors slipped collectively, as the financial, services and industrial sectors fell by 0.86%, 0.17% and 0.14%, respectively.
Out of 37 companies seen active today, seven shares traded higher, 13 ended down and the remaining 15 were flat.
Al Jazeera Steel Products Company was the best performer with a growth of 3.10%, while HSBC Oman was the lowest with a fall of 3.81%.
Oman Hotels led in value and volume with 5.83 million traded shares worth OMR 2.45 million.
MSM 30 dropped yesterday 0.21% or 11.32 points to 5,403.67 points.
