UAE - Mubasher: Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala) has entered into an agreement with G42, the UAE-based AI and cloud computing company, to launch a biopharmaceutical manufacturing campus (Biopharma Campus) in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The campus will enable the UAE to promote regional supply chains and achieve economic diversification and growth, benefitting from Mubadala’s advanced manufacturing companies and G42’s artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing services.
The Biopharma Campus will focus on end-to-end manufacturing of biologics and enter into partnerships with Contract Manufacturing and Development Organisations (CDMOs).
The CEO of UAE Investments at Mubadala, Musabbeh Al Kaabi, said: "Bringing cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to the UAE will not only strengthen our nation’s biopharma supply chain and pandemic response, but provide opportunities for local talent development and long-term, sustainable economic growth."
Meanwhile, the Group CEO of G42, Peng Xiao, commented: "From their humble origins in the tech sector a decade ago, today these technologies are leveraged across a wide array of industries that value speed, scalability, innovation, and resilience."
