Mosques in Saudi Arabia to open 40 mins before Friday prayers

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia on Thursday.has decided to open mosques all over the country, except for the two cities of Mecca and Jeddah, 40 minutes before Friday prayers to avoid crowding, according to an official statement by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

The decision comes into effect as of Friday,12 June, until further notice.

The move is part of the protocols approved by relevant authorities, the statement added.
