Moro Hub partners with SAIMOS to boost video analytics platform

Dubai – Mubasher: Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA which serves as the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), inked a definitive agreement with situational awareness, infrastructure management, and operations security (SAIMOS).

The partnership aligns with Moro Hub’s portfolio that includes SAIMOS video analytics and laser imaging, detection, and ranging (Lidar) services, which will offer improved security for enterprises, according to a recent press release.

It will also provide Moro Hub’s customers with advanced technologies to reinforce system capabilities.

SAIMOS is specialised in geographic information systems (GIS) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based video analytics, in addition to custom developments targeting security, safety, and critical infrastructure.

Arif Almalik, Chief Digital Products Officer of Moro Hub, said: “Video analytics driven by AI algorithms provide actionable business intelligence for organisations.”

Almalik noted: “With SAIMOS, we can swiftly develop our smart analytics across any video security solution and ensure enterprises using cloud technologies have enhanced access to safety and security.”

He added: “This partnership will accelerate organisations to track suspects and discern patterns, making it possible to prevent a security breach rather than just respond to it after the incident.”

Karim Fahmi, CEO Technologies of SAIMOS, commented: “We are confident that this partnership will offer access to new customers and enable us to push our boundaries to develop enhanced and innovative solutions.”

Last June, Moro Hub teamed up with PhishRod, a global anti-phishing solutions provider, to launch Waee platform.

In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the listed DEWA reported net profits attributable to the equityholders worth AED 6.23 billion, higher than AED 5.01 billion in 9M-21.
