Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monshaat) penned a cooperation agreement with Tatweer Building Company (TBC) to facilitate contracting conditions with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the fields of operation and maintenance of educational facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Education.
The step aims to empower the SMEs sector to develop and flourish, making it a primary enabler for the kingdom’s economic development and Vision 2030 realisation, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
TBC is the company responsible for implementing the education ministry’s projects since it had commenced operations in the first quarter (Q1) of 2013. It mainly aims to provide a safe and high-quality educational environment.
Established in 2016, the objectives of Monshaat are to organise, support, develop, and sponsor the SME sector as per the best global practices, to increase the productivity of these enterprises and increase their contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) from 20% to 35% by 2030.
