Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai-based Majid Al Futtaim Group has inaugurated the expansion of City Centre Sharjah.
By opening this expansion, the Emirati holding company has marked a major step in the shopping experience in Sharjah by providing an integrated shopping experience.
The expansion, inaugurated on Wednesday, has seen the addition of 22 new stores and several restaurants dedicated to families.
Majid Al Futtaim Group has injected AED 260 million into the expansion of City Centre Sharjah, making it one of the largest destinations for shopping and entertainment in the emirate, according to a statement.
The mall's leasable area has been extended to 51,428 square metres (sqm) from 37,728 sqm, while the internal and external facilities of the project were renovated.
Many major stores were opened at City Centre Sharjah over the past few weeks such as Sharaf DG, alongside Homebox, the only destination for home furnishings and accessories in the shopping centre, in addition to the first branch of MUMUSO in Sharjah.
Daiso Japan has opened its branch at City Center Sharjah, as well as the Naomi clothing brand, Healthy Sports, and the Shoes For Us store.
City Center Sharjah also features new restaurants, including Nandos, Chili's, and Gazebo Indian Restaurant.
