UAE - Mubasher: Majid Al Futtaim has inaugurated its first Carrefour store in Tashkent in Uzbekistan to meet the country's growing demand for modern retail.
With over 16,000 items, Carrefour provides the Uzbek market with the best retail practices, customer services, and in-store hygiene processes, according to a press release on Tuesday.
Carrefour also launched its MyClub programme along with a mobile application to offer customers additional discounts on selected products by earning points while shopping.
To limit its environmental impact, Carrefour Uzbekistan encourages its customers to utilise eco-bags, paper, and reusable bags, alongside the introduction of a Green checkout counter.
In addition, the store has implemented a waste recycling project, which installs waste sorting containers for further processing
