Dubai-Mubasher: Majid Al Futtaim signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide to open an Aloft hotel directly connected to City Centre Deira, according to a statement.
Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira will increase the number of hotels operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE to 11.
Scheduled to open in 2018, the hotel will feature 304 spacious guest rooms and an outdoor rooftop VOX Cinema.
The project construction contract has been awarded to Laing O’Rourke, the statement said, adding that work already commenced at the begining of June 2016.
The deal reinforces the momentum behind the brand’s rapid expansion in the Middle East, where there will be 14 Aloft hotels by 2020 in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and the UAE.
