Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Sunday in green, recording the third rise in a row.
The main index, MSM 30, climbed 3.25% to 5,179.36 points, and the Sharia Index grew 1.64% to 816.42 points.
Trading volume rose 40.3% to 38.16 million shares from 27.2 million shares exchanged on Thursday. Turnover also surged 17.5% to OMR 7.2 million from OMR 6.13 million.
The financial, services and industrial sectors grew 5%, 1.52% and 1.29%, respectively.
Al-Madina for Finance and Investment and Bank Sohar topped gainers by adding 10%, while Ominvest declined 0.44%.
Bank Muscat hit the largest turnover of OMR 1.47 million, whereas Bank Nizwa was the heaviest-traded stock after 6.84 million shares were exchanged.
The main gauge closed Thursday with a rise of 1.26% or 62.53 points to 5,016.51 points.
