MSM sees bearish performance this week

Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) turned to red this week, falling 9.54 points to 5,917.61 points compared to 5,928.15 points last week.

Shariah index declined 0.16% or 1.42 points to reach 911.39 points this week compared to 912.81 points last week.

Trading volume declined to 57.289 million shares from 94.45 million shares, while turnover decreased to AED 14.88 million from AED 17.18 million.

The industrial sector retreated 0.68%, followed by the financial and services sectors at 0.30% and 0.20%, respectively.

Bank Muscat was the value leader after generating OMR 3.87 million, while Bank Nizwa was the most active company with trading volume reaching 10.16 million shares.
