Riyadh – Mubasher: Al Moammar Information Systems Company (MIS) has joined the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s initiative to develop large data centres in Saudi Arabia.
The government plans to accelerate digital transformation through the development of data centers at estimated investments of $18 billion, according to a bourse filing on Monday.
Saudi Arabia intends to develop the facilities to exceed 1,300-megawatt before 2030.
Earlier today, MIS announced a contract worth SAR 1.2 billion with the Saudi Fransi Capital to design, develop, and manage data centres in the Kingdom.
