MAF’s investments in Egypt stand at $2.6bn

Cairo – Mubasher: Total investments of Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Group in Egypt have reached $2.6 billion, the group’s regional manager Abdullah Al Nokrashy said.

The UAE-based shopping mall developer and operator’s projects in the most populous Arab nation have created about 47,500 direct jobs and 76,700 indirect jobs, Al Nokrashy noted in a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation on Thursday.

This came during the investment minister’s visit to City Centre Almaza, established under the new investment zone law, with EGP 9.35 billion investments.

MAF’s portfolio in Egypt includes four shopping malls: Mall of Egypt, City Centre Maadi, City Centre Alexandria, and City Centre Almaza.
