Riyadh – Mubasher: Lana Medical Company has penned a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Environmental Academy to foster cooperation within the waste management sector, according to a bourse disclosure.
The agreement was established in partnership with the National Center for Waste Management, known as MWAN, to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial application while enhancing the professional capabilities of the Saudi workforce in environmental services.
The scope of the partnership is comprehensive, focusing on several key pillars including specialized training, capacity building, and the development of joint research and studies.
The related parties intend to collaborate on the creation of academic and professional programs tailored to the environmental sector. This includes the development of specialized professional certifications and the implementation of training-to-employment initiatives designed to qualify national talents for specific roles within the industry.
Furthermore, the agreement emphasizes the localization of environmental technologies and innovations.
Under the patronage of the Vice Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, the MoU agreement was signed on 13 May 2026 and is valid for 12 months.
Lana Medical noted that this strategic move is an extension of its commitment to building partnerships with specialized national entities.
The company aims to contribute to the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in the areas of environmental sustainability and human capital development.
By integrating applied knowledge with professional qualification, the partnership is designed to meet the evolving requirements of the labor market and elevate the standard of environmental and health services in Saudi Arabia.
To ensure the effective implementation of these objectives, a joint working group will be established. This team will be responsible for drafting a detailed executive plan, identifying priority initiatives, and monitoring the progress of various programs to ensure the partnership achieves its intended practical impact.
Lana Medical confirmed that there are no related parties involved in this agreement and stated that there is no immediate financial impact resulting from the signing of this memorandum.
Meanwhile, the partnership represents a foundational step toward long-term institutional cooperation in the Kingdom’s growing environmental services landscape.
