Mubasher: The price index of Boursa Kuwait went up 0.94% or 63.44 points to end Wednesday at 6,814.81 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices rose by 1.15% and 1.14% respectively.
The banks segment topped eight gainers with 2.72% on the back of Ithmaar Holding which grew by 6.45%.
Meanwhile, the basic materials sector led three decliners with 1.38%, dragged by Qurain which dropped 3.08%.
Turnover increased to KWD 71.35 million, after trading volume grew to 736.21 million shares.
Al Ithmaar Holding was the most active stock on which 81.71 million shares were exchanged.
KFH recorded the highest trading value that stood at KWD 10.22 million.
