Kuwaiti oil up 40 cents

Kuwait - Mubasher: The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 40 cents on Friday, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

Kuwaiti crude registered $48.15 per barrel (pb) on Friday compared to $47.75 pb on Thursday, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported today.

Oil prices also grew on the global level due to data showing a decrease in US crude reserves for the fourth consecutive week.

The price of the Brent crude increased to $51.73 pb, while the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose to $49.24 pb.
