Kuwaiti bourse in green at open

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Monday’s session with a grouped rise, as the price index was up 0.1% or 5.20 points to reach 5,456.49 points by 9:45am Kuwait time.

Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.11% and 0.48% respectively.

KSE’s liquidity amounted to KWD 3.02 million after 17 million shares were traded through 497 transactions.

The technology sector topped six gainers by 1.8%, backed by Automated Systems which rose by 6.56%.

Meanwhile, the telecom sector led three decliners by 1.5%, dragged by Ooredoo which lost 8.5% to head the losers.

KAMCO was the top winner by rising 9.43%.

The Securities House was the most active stock on which 3.2 million shares were traded at a value of around KWD 153,970. The stock fell by 3% to 48.5 fils.

Zain recorded the highest liquidity which totalled KWD 2.8 million after about 939,620 shares were traded. The stock settled at 330 fils.
