Kuwaiti bourse closes in green zone

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait’s stock market rose 0.42% or 21.64 points to close at 5,166.19 points on Tuesday, posting its second rise in a row.

The weighted index gained 0.86% or 3.03 points to reach 354.58 points. Also, KSX 15 index grew 1.24% or 10.24 points to 836.40 points.

Today’s trading value soared 114.5% to KWD 16.88 million as trading volume rose by 9.3% to 159.87 million shares.

The consumer goods sector topped the gainers by a 2.04% rise, while the consumer services sector was the only declining sector by a fall of 0.74%. The basic materials sector remained unchanged.

Palms Agro Production was the top winner by adding 9.80%, while IFA Hotels led the losers as it fell 10.42%.

Al Dar National Real Estate was the most active as 25.44 million shares were exchanged at about KWD 495,600.

Kuwait Finance House (KFH) recorded the highest turnover of more than KWD 3 million which was generated from 6.06 million traded shares.
