Mubasher: The wholesale price index (WPI) in Kuwait reported an increase of 1% in December 2017, according to the latest data issued by the Central Statistical Bureau of Kuwait.
The index, which registers the price of a representative basket of wholesale goods, went up to 135.2 points in December 2017 compared to 133.9 points in the same month in 2016.
Kuwait’s WPI for imported goods edged up 0.4% year-on-year in December 2017, while the domestic goods added 2%.
On a monthly basis, the index levelled up 0.1% in December when compared to November.
Domestic goods index added 0.3% in December 2017 compared to the previous month, while imported goods remained unchanged at 132.5 points.
