Kuwait’s exports decline 38.7% in Q2

Kuwait-Mubasher: Exports in the second quarter dropped 38.7% annually to settle at KWD 4.842 billion, according to a report issued by Kuwait Central Statistical Bureau.

Meanwhile, total imports registered a growth of 9.7% to KWD 2.442 billion in Q2-15 as compared to Q2-14.

Kuwait’s trade balance reported a surplus of KWD 2.401 billion in Q2-15 as compared to KWD 5.676 billion in Q2-14; a plunge of 57.7%.

Total exports from Kuwait to the GCC grew 9.6% to KWD 182.3 million in Q2-15 as compared to the same period of the previous year; forming 3.8% of Kuwait’s total exports in Q2.
