Mubasher: The price of Kuwait’s crude oil surged $1.31 to $56.26 per barrel (pb) on Monday, compared to $54.95 pb on Friday, according to the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
Globally, oil prices soared more than 1% on Monday, on the back of expectations that trade talks between Washington and Beijing will ease a year-long trade war.
U.S. representatives are meeting their Chinese counterparts in Beijing this week following a 90-day truce in a trade war, which has negatively affected oil prices.
