Mubasher: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water has controlled all oil spots surrounding the southern and northern Al-Zour power plants, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Monday, citing a ministry official as saying.
The effort to control the oil spots was carried out in collaboration with oil companies, Haitham Al-Ali, the ministry's chief power engineer said.
He further revealed that production at the power plants was reduced over the past two days to ensure the workers’ safety and that of the equipment at the plants.
On a side note, Al Ali told KUNA that production at the southern and northern Shuaiba plants is around 13 to 14 megawatts during summer, representing 15% of Kuwait’s total output.
