Mubasher: The subsidies granted by the Kuwaiti government to citizens increased by 15% to KWD 22 million ($73 million) in May when compared to April, according to the latest data by the commerce and industry ministry.
The Kuwaiti citizens who hold the ration cards obtain a subsidy accounting for 51.5% of the total subsidies provided in May at a value of KWD 12 million, the official statement added.
Subsidy allocated to black cement totalled KWD 137,000 while subsidies earmarked to steel and concrete stood at KWD 2 million and KWD 4 million, respectively.
