Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s petroleum minister Tarek El-Molla was in talks with Kuwait Energy’s officials over the available investment opportunities in oil and gas exploration and production in the North African country.
Kuwait Energy’s interim CEO Abdel Abby Badwi, chairman Manssour Aboukhamseen, and the company’s head in Egypt Kamel El-Sawy attended the meeting.
Both parties have discussed the Kuwaiti company’s concessions portfolio, El-Molla said in a statement on Monday.
Kuwait Energy is one of the successful companies operating in the Egyptian oil sector, he added, pointing out that the company has achieved significant financial results in its concessions.
The minister has praised the positive participation of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), in collaboration with Kuwait Energy, to develop Faihaa and Siba fields in Iraq.
For his part, Kuwait Energy’s chairman stressed that the company is looking forward to achieving more success in its concessions in Egypt and participating in international oil and gas tenders which will be launched by the petroleum sector of the Arab world's most populous country.
