KSE’s indices close in red zone amid low liquidity

Kuwait-Mubasher: The benchmark index of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) edged down by 0.4% or 20.83 points to close at 5,207.92 points on Sunday.

The weighted index retreated 1.07% or 3.85 points to 355.97 points. The KSX 15 index fell by 1.4% or 12 points to 838.57 points.

KSE’s liquidity shrank by 44.4% to KWD 11.4 million, while trading volume increased 4.3% to 202.86 million shares.

The consumer goods sector topped the gainers by a growth of 0.82%, while the insurance sector led the decliners by a fall of 2.58%.

Al Themar International Holding was the top winner by a 12.5% increase to close at 90 fils, while Kuwait Insurance headed the losers by an 8.06% decline.

The most active stock was Investors as 36.91 million shares were traded, and generatinh about KWD 830,650. The stock rose by 2.27%.

NBK recorded the highest turnover as it gained KWD 1.63 million, after 2.5 million shares were exchanged. However, the stock fell by 3%.
