Mubasher: Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has announced that the U-125 petroleum gas processing plant at Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery started operations.
The U-125 plant is the first unit within the environmental fuel project to be operated at Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The new unit will process the liquefied gas produced by the automotive fuel unit, and produce a quantity of thermal furnace fuel used in several refinery units, KNPC's executive vice president for project Abdullah Al-Ajmi said.
The top official revealed that the capacity of U-125 is 2264 barrels per day, adding that it will reduce olefins by up to 100 parts per million final product.
