Mubasher: Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport (KGL) achieved an increase of 13.7% in profits during the second quarter of 2018 compared to the corresponding period a year ago.
Earnings grew to KWD 1.16 million ($3.84 million) in Q2-18 from KWD 1.02 million ($3.37 million) in Q2-17, according to a bourse statement on Wednesday.
During the first six months of 2018, KGL registered an incline of 48.6% in profits to KWD 2.6 million from KWD 1.75 million in H1-17.
KGL clarified that the rise in H1 profits is attributed to a noticeable progress in the company’s industrial activity.
It is worth noting that KGL achieved a 97% profit surge to KWD 1.44 million during the first quarter of 2018 from nearly KWD 731,310 in the same period a year ago.
